4 Months!

(I think I take too many pictures of you-you are all smiley and then as soon as I pull the camera out you stop smiling and get all serious!)

Hadley how is it possible that you are 4 months old already?! Time is flying WAY too fast!!!

Here is what you are up to at 4 months old:

- You sleep through the night! Hallelujah! You go to bed around 8PM and sleep until 6:30 or 7AM.

-You are wearing 3-6 month clothing.

-You still breastfeed exclusively. You eat 6-7 times per day. About every 3 hours

-You smile and talk ALL the time. You are the happiest baby.

-You LOVE your bath. When we put you in the water you almost immediately start kicking your legs and trying to swim. Its so cute.

- You are wearing a size 2 diaper.

- You weigh 15.5 pounds (90th %) and are 25 inches tall (75%)
- You got in the Johny Jump Up for the first time this month. You haven't quite figured out how to jump in it. but you like to hang out and be upright.

-Still LOVE your swing and activity mat. You like to sit in your swing and watch Praise Baby DVDs. You get so focused on all the colors.

- You are very observant. When we go someplace you look all around at the lights, fans, stuff hanging on the walls.

- You have decided this month that you HATE your car seat and riding in the car. You usually scream for about the first 10 minutes we are in the car and then you either fall asleep or get distracted by something for a few minutes, and then go back to screaming. Needless to say I try to keep errand running short or just leave you home with daddy.

- This has been a big month of firsts for you! You celebrated your first Thanksgiving, and your first Christmas! You also met your Grandpa for the first time when he came home from working in China for Christmas! You also met your great-grandparents (Daddy's grandparents) for the first time when we went to visit them over Thanksgiving!

- For about the last week you have been working on cutting your first tooth. Your poor gums are swollen, and you are constantly messing with it and chewing on things. Its so sad! I want that tooth to come in already!!! I hate seeing you in pain!!

-You laughed for the first time at 15 1/2 weeks. It was so cute. You haven't done it since, even though we have made fools out of ourselves trying to make you!

-You can sit in your bumbo seat now! You tolerate it for 15-20 minutes at a time, but after that you have had it.

-You still don't love tummy time, but you tolerate it better now. I try to put you on your stomach for 20-30 minutes throughout the day.

- This month I quit my job, so I can stay home with you full time!!!! Mommy is SO excited about being with you all day, everyday!!!

- You are still not a great napper. You take 2-3 naps a day but usually they only last 45 minutes or so. Occasionally you will get a good 2 hr. nap at some point in the day.
Hanging out with your Grandpa!!

This month we dedicated you to the Lord. We pray that you will come to know Him at an early age and walk with Him all the days of your life. (Notice my finger in your mouth, trying to keep you from screaming because your teeth were hurting you!)

Meeting Santa for the first time!
Playing with you Lion(AKA your best friend). You LOVE him and smile every time you see him!

Hadley you are such a JOY. We love you SO much and are so excited to watch you grow up!

3 months!

Hadley how is even possible that you are already 3 months old?! I can't believe it!!! These past 3 months have gone by entirely too fast and you are getting WAY too big! Slow down!
Here is what you are up to at 3 months old...

-You weigh around 15 pounds (guesstimate) and are 24 inches long!

-Still wearing size 1 Diaper

-Wearing 3 month clothes

-You are getting to be a GREAT sleeper! Praise the Lord!! You sleep 8-10 hours every night! Such a huge blessing!

-You are taking 2 good naps during the day. One from about 7:30AM-9AM and another from about 11AM-1PM. After that its kind of intermittent until you go to sleep around 7:30PM.

-I went back to work this month so your Gigi and Grammy have been taking care of you during the day. You have done SO great!!! I have missed you terribly though!

-You are still exclusively on breast milk, and eat about 5 oz per feeding.

-You have decided you hate your pacifier and would much rather suck on your thumb. It is so cute to watch you sleeping with your little thumb in your mouth!!!

- You have become much more social this month. You smile at us all the time, and talk and kick your legs constantly.

-You follow us around the room and turn your head when you hear our voices.

-You love to "stand" up and are getting great at holding your head up.

-You still love your bouncy seat and swing.

-You have discovered your hands and love to stare at them. You have also started grabbing things more and holding on to them.

-You also LOVE your bath! Yeah! Its so fun to watch you kick your legs in the water!

-You are such a happy, easy baby! We are so thankful!!!!

We Love you so much Hadley and cannot wait to watch you grow up...just slow it down a little! :)

- You have moved to Size 1 Diaper

-You are in between sizes....your newborn clothes are too small but 3 month clothes are a bit too big....

-You are the happiest in the morning. After you wake up and I feed you, you are SO happy. You smile and coo and kick your legs. Its so cute!
- You smile all the time. Its so sweet to see you look at us and smile!

- You are such a happy, peaceful baby! We are so thankful!

- You are a wiggle worm! You are always moving your arms and legs! We have to swaddle you really tight at night so you won't flail your arms and legs and wake yourself up! I have a feeling you are going to be BUSY once you can move around!
- You love to lock your legs and "stand up". You turn your head from side to side. You are so strong!

- You are starting to like your bath! As long as you have warm water being poured over you, you are ok. After about 10 minutes though, you have had it!
- Your hair is getting redder by the day!

- We just got back from a trip to Houston to meet your great grandmothers! You did GREAT in the car! It was alot of riding in your car seat (about 20 hours in 3 days!) , you were such a trooper! I am SO glad you got to meet your great grandmothers! Such special memories!!!

- You are a good sleeper at night. You wake up once around 4AM, so not too bad! You still are not a great napper during the day. I am lucky to get one morning nap and one afternoon nap out of you (usually about an hour each).

- You recognize my voice and your daddy's voice. When you hear us, you turn your head to where we are and look at us. It makes my heart melt!

We love you so much Hadley! It has been so fun to watch your personality come out a little more this month!!! We can't wait to watch you grow up!!!

-Your neck muscles are getting stronger and you like to lift up your head.

- This past week when you were having tummy time, you lifted your head and turned it from one side to the other!

-You are a very content baby. When you fuss it is usually only for a minute. We are so thankful!!!

- You LOVE to be held!

- You like to be swaddled at night so you don't hit yourself in the face and wake up!

My pregnancy in Pictures...

It is crazy to go back and look at earliar pregnancy pictures of myself! I can't even remember looking like that! I feel like I have had a giant watermelon under my clothes for years!!! I can't wait to be able to easily bend over, see my feet, and paint my own toenails again!!!

It is still so surreal to me that there is another human being inside of me! I can't help but wonder what she will look like, what her personality will be like, and wonder what plans God has for her. I feel so blessed to be her mommy and I can't wait to watch her life unfold!

Update

Well I had my weekly dr.'s appointment this morning, and we decided to induce next Tuesday, August 31st!!!! That means in just 6 short days Hadley Grace will be here! I. CANT. WAIT!!!!! It is so relieving to know when my last day at work will be, and know a deadline of when to have everything done! I have been super busy working on Wiggles and Giggles stuff lately, so I am looking forward to taking a little sabbatical from that, and just loving on a sweet little girl!!!
Poor Bear has been a little sad lately. I think he senses something is changing. We have brought all this new stuff into our house, and new toys he is not allowed to play with, and he has been a little down in the dumps. Poor guy. It's ok soon enough he will LOVE Hadley, especially when she starts dropping him food scraps and playing with him in the yard! :)

Hadley we can't wait to meet you!

Showered...

Hadley has been "showered" in love! I have been given a total of 5 showers! It has been such a HUGE blessing! We had two showers thrown by friends, both our workplaces threw us a shower, and Tim's mom threw a shower for family. She has gotten lots of cute things to wear, as well as LOTS of practical necessities!

Here are a few pictures of my last shower thrown by Elita, Deborah, my sis-in-law Lydia, and my sister Elissa.

Me with the hostesses (L to R): Deborah, Elita, Elissa, and Lydia

My mom, me, and two of my sisters, Elissa and Mary Lee and my sweet niece Abby

Diaper cake my sister made for Hadley!

Cute (and yummy!) cake!

Everything was so cute! I loved every minute of it!

Hurry up Hadley! We are all so ready to meet you!!!!

Almost there....

We are SO ready to meet Hadley! Her crib finally came in! It was so fun to set up and put her bedding in! I LOVE how it turned out!
I have developed a horrible pregnancy related rash, called PUPPS. It is MISERABLE. Everything they have given me doesn't help, and I am scratching myself raw. It feels like I rolled in a fire ant bed. The only thing you can do to get rid of it is to deliver. I went to the dr. this week, and he said he wanted to wait another week before inducing me because there is a chance (while very small, still a chance) that her lungs might not be completely ready for life on the outside. SOOOO...while I would love to have had Hadley this week, and be done with this rash, I do not want to risk her not being quite ready, so I will wait. We will talk to the dr. again next week and go from there. So hopefully, Hadley will be here next week!!!!

I. CANT. WAIT!

My little chunker....

34 weeks!
Well we went to the Dr. yesterday and had an ultrasound. At our last appointment Hadley was measuring about 2 weeks ahead so the Dr. wanted to do an ultrasound to see what was up. I was excited to have another chance to see Hadley because you usually don't get to have an ultrasound this late. I was secretly hoping they would tell me, "Oh man we got your due date wrong. You are actually due August 24, not September 7th." No such luck. Instead we found out we just have a little porker on our hands! She is already almost 6 pounds and I have 6 weeks left! AHHHH! That means that she could be between 9 and 9-1/2 pounds when she is born! Holy moly! The Dr. assured me that even if I stop eating, she will still gain weight, so bring on the Cheetos and Mexican food! :)

In all honesty, thinking about birthing a baby that huge kinda freaks me out, but the important thing is she is perfectly healthy and so am I, and for that I am so thankful! The ultrasound tech pointed out that she already has lots of hair! That makes me happy! I am hoping she will have a head full of hair so she can wear lots of cute bows!
Last Saturday, my sweet friends Magen, Deborah, and Stacy threw me the most beautiful baby shower! It was so fun and Hadley got lots of super cute clothes and other fun stuff! Here are a few pics from the shower:

Awesome cupcakes with little babushka dolls! They match her crib bedding perfectly! They were SO cute!
Yummy lemon cupcakes
Just some of the beautiful cupcake spread

Me with my mom and mother in law

Me with the sweet hostesses

In the nursery organizing and looking through everything again! So fun!

Hadley's first set of wheels from her Gigi and Grandpa! Love it!

Oh the Joys of Pregnancy

Being pregnant is all in all an awesome experience. Growing a human being inside of you and feeling them move is so fun! But there are a few things about being pregnant that are not so glamorous.....You know you are ready to not be pregnant anymore when...

1. You go to the bathroom so much that you actually start to dread it and wish you could just get a catheter
2. You wake up in the middle of the night and your leg is numb from sleeping on it, but its too much of an ordeal to roll to the other side so you just try to ignore it
3. You grunt and groan like an old woman every time you get up
4. You don't remember what your feet look like
5. You can't get your wedding ring off your finger
6. You look at pictures of yourself earlier in your pregnancy and think, "Gosh I was skinny." HAHA
7. You can't remember what it is like to have a flat stomach
8. You frequent Sam's often to enjoy all the free samples
9. If you sneeze or cough you sometimes wet your pants, even though you JUST went to the bathroom
10. You are hot all the time
11. You have to stand in the kitchen every morning with the freezer and refrigerator door open to try and cool down for a minute. As soon as you close the doors though, you begin to sweat.
12. The thought of taking a hot shower makes you want to die. Instead taking an ice cold shower sounds absolutely divine.
13. You came up with a genius idea to fold your clothes for the day and put them in the freezer. That way when you are all ready to go, and sweating like a dog, you can put on your ice cold frozen clothes and have a moment of pure bliss.
14. You have to go to the bathroom so much that you made a fun little game of it. You make a tally mark in your planner each time you go, and see if the next day you can beat it. (For the record I am currently at 9 and its only 2PM)
15. You waddle like an old lady
16. Your feet are so swollen that even your flip flops leave intentions on your feet when you take them off
17. You cannot sleep enough.
18. You are wishing and hoping and praying that the doctor will tell you they made a mistake on your due date and you are actually due 2 weeks earlier than planned
19. The days drag on and on and on and on and on and on and on.....
20. You started out your pregnancy being nervous to give birth and now you can't wait because it means you won't be pregnant anymore!!!!

Time is ticking away........

32 weeks! WOWSERS has it gone by fast! It is hard to believe that in just 8 short weeks (or less) I will be meeting my sweet little girl! I am so excited! I went to the dr. last week and he said I was measuring 2 weeks ahead so he wants me to have another ultrasound at the end of the month to see what is going on. I am excited because I wasn't supposed to have another ultrasound! Although by that point I will be 34 1/2 weeks so we probably won't be able to see alot since she will be so big.

My first shower is July 24th and I am so excited! My friends Magen, Stacelle, and Deborah are throwing it for me and I know that it is going to be so cute!

The nursery is 90% done. All that is left to do is hang stuff on the walls, hang curtains and cornice boards, buy and put together the crib, and then Tim's dad is building a table and a bookshelf. It is so fun to look in there and be able to envision what it will look like finished! For so long it was a torn up construction zone and I would about have a heart attack when I looked in there and think HOW IN THE WORLD IS THIS EVER GOING TO BE A NURSERY?! But my awesome husband has worked SO hard and made it look great. I will post pics as soon as I can find out camera cord to upload them to the computer......

I am feeling pretty good for 32 weeks. Starting to notice more swelling in my feet and ankles by the end of the day, and my stomach just feels really heavy like I need to hold it up haha. Sleeping is getting harder and harder. Inbetween the frequent nightly bathroom visits, it is so hard for me to get comfortable, not to mention I am SO hot at night time. Well I am hot all the time, but it seems to be worse at night when I am laying there trying to go to sleep. Oh well...this too shall pass....

Beach Vacation

Tim and I just got back from a week at the beach. We went to Destin and had so much fun!!! I am so glad we got to take a little get away before Hadley gets here! We literally sat on the beach all day, every day. It was glorious! The weather was absolutely beautiful everyday. I want to go back! Thankfully the only part of me that got fried was the front of one of my shins, genius me forgot to put sunscreen on that one part of my leg. I am a genius sometimes.
Sitting on the beach

Playing putt-putt

The beautiful beach in Destin

We went to Seaside/Rosemary Beach one day. It is such a beautiful little town, and is absolutely picture perfect. The Truman show was filmed in Seaside. The grass is perfectly green and manicured, the town square looks like it is out of a movie, everyone rides their bikes everywhere and waves at everyone. Its just perfect. I want to have a house there one day....

In the town square at Rosemary Beach

In other news, I am now 24 weeks preggo and feeling great. I have weird little things that happen every now and then, like my right thigh randomly just goes numb, but other than those few things, the second trimester has been great. I can't believe I am so close to my last trimester! We have a TON to do on the nursery, so sometimes I have random freak out moments, but I know we will get it done. Hadley is moving around like crazy, and Tim could see her kicking for the first time while we were in Destin, it was so fun!

Things no one tells you about being pregnant:

Being pregnant is definitely an adventure. Your body changes, your hormones rage, and your emotions change every 10 seconds. Its exhausting! People love to tell you their opinion of everything related to pregnancy, mothering, nursing, etc.-but there are some things people never tell you about being pregnant.

Here are just a few things I have discovered about being pregnant that I never knew:

1. You have to pee ALL the time.

I knew before I was pregnant that you would have to go to the bathroom more during pregnancy, but no one tells you how frequent this is. I get up at least twice in the night EVERY night to go to the bathroom. The most annoying thing is you will suddenly feel like you are about to wet your pants if you don't get to a bathroom and so you rush in expecting to release a river and two little drops come out. I mean seriously?!

2. Your nails grow like wildfire.

I used to cut my nails about once a month, I am now cutting them once a week. RIDICULOUS.

3. You sweat alot.

I mean alot. Maybe its just me. I am hot natured anyways but now that I am pregnant I sweat all the time even when I am not hot. Oh and I normally just sweat consistently from one armpit. Its lovely. I have thought about stuffing toilet paper under one armpit to absorb the sweat but I am scared it would creep out the top of my shirt or something and that would be really embarrassing.

4. If you get a bug bite on your toe, too bad so sad. Forget about scratching it.

When pregnant, your body suddenly thinks it is 85 years old and you lose all flexibility. I can barely lift my leg up anymore to scratch my toes, nor can I sit down on the floor and expect to be able to easily get back up by myself. Again, maybe its just me.

5. You cry alot.

Over nothing. I cry at the drop of a hat these days. Tim will ask me why I am crying and I don't have an answer. It can be because I dropped something, because we ran out of milk, because I forgot to get something when I was at Walmart. Its so stupid, but I can't help it!

6. Your nose runs alot.

I am sinusy by nature anyways, but since I have been pregnant I am constantly blowing my nose. Annoying.

Excuse me while I take a bathroom break.........

7. Everyone wants to touch your stomach all the time. I mean really there is a lot of skin/fat/etc between your hand on my belly and the baby. So in reality you are really just touching my fat stomach not the baby. Its so annoying. Even more annoying/freaky when its a stranger that just feels the right to rub your stomach. It creeps me out. I feel like having a tshirt made that says "No Tocar" ("No touch" for all of my English speaking friends)

8. Having a stomach virus while pregnant is about the worst thing you can ever imagine. I would know. I am just getting over a TERRIBLE 24 hr. stomach bug. It was MISERY. I could not keep anything down, and all I could do was just writhe in pain, hoping and praying it was not affecting Hadley. Thankfully by the time morning came around and I was able to get a hold of my doctor, he called in some prescriptions for me that made me feel SO much better.

9. Random people will stop you in the grocery store, at the post office, or at a gas station and just feel compelled to tell you their birthing story. Apparently I am wearing a sign on my forehead that only other women can see that says, " PLEASE COME UP TO ME AND TELL ME YOUR BIRTHING STORY". That's all I can figure as it has happened to me MULTIPLE times. I don't know about you but hearing about some strange woman's placenta and c-section scars makes me want to vomit. I don't feel it to be a bonding experience rather it makes me really queasy and weirds me out, especially when one woman began to lift up her shirt to show me her c-section scar. A complete stranger. WEIRD.

10. Did I mention you have to go to the bathroom ALOT???

I am sure there will be many other funny/weird things that happen in the next 18 weeks...and I will be sure to share!

Things You Should Never Say to a Pregnant Woman:

Since I have been pregnant, people have been so very kind in their comments to me. Or not. It baffles me that women who have been pregnant before and know what it feels like to get huge and have nothing fit and feel miserable, still feel the need to comment on how large you are getting, how big of a baby you are going to have based on your size, etc. I have come to the conclusion that no woman no matter how big she is EVER wants to be told "You are Huge!" I mean I really don't care if I am 12 months pregnant and have gained 300 pounds, please tell me I look great. Sure I will totally know you are lying, but its much better than hearing some of the following things I have heard since being pregnant:

(These are actual word for word quotes of things people have so kindly told me)

"Wow you are HUGE!"

"From the looks of it you are going to have a BIG baby" (I mean really don't blame it on the baby, just tell me you think I am gaining alot of weight)

"You look like you are already retaining alot of water. By this summer your going to be as big as a whale" ( hey,at least they were honest!)

" Your only 20 weeks? WOW!"

" So, you probably had to start wearing maternity clothes pretty early huh?"

"Hopefully you will lose it as fast as you gained it!"

"Oh just wait till this summer, you're really going to blow up"

I mean in all honesty, I have started to just laugh. People have no tact! It really hurt my feelings at first to be called huge, because I feel huge and I am fully aware I am gaining weight, but now I just have to laugh at how stupid people are. I have only gained 16 pounds, according to my doctor I am not retaining water at all, and the baby is average size as of now.

Just thought I would give you a little laugh today, and let you know that if you ever see a pregnant woman, huge or not, just tell her she looks wonderful. It will make her day. Honesty is not always the best policy :)

It's a.....

Well we had our ultrasound last Wednesday to find out what we are having and we were both quite surprised to find out that
It's a GIRL!!!!!!!
We are SO excited! I can't wait to buy lots of cute dresses and bows and decorate a sweet, girly nursery!!!!! I wanted a girl so bad-so I didn't want to be let down so I had just convinced myself we were having a boy, and I was totally ok with that. So, to find out it was a girl was a shocker! Tim is excited too, a bit nervous to have a daughter, but he knows she will have him wrapped around her little finger! His first words after they told us we were having a girl were, "Well this is going to be expensive!" HAHAHA
We have decided to name her Hadley Grace. Hadley is a name I have LOVED for a long, long time and Grace is my middle name and was my great grandmothers name.

I am halfway there-20 weeks! I can't believe in 5 short months I will be holding my sweet baby girl!

17 weeks and Counting

I thought it would be fun to document how Tim and I told our parents we were expecting. We told my parents by making Bear wear a shirt that said "I'm the Big Brother". Needless to say he was less than thrilled to be confined. When we got to my parents house and my dad saw the shirt he said, "Yall are getting another dog?" "No dad, no we are not getting another dog," I said. He's a quick one. He then got it and he and my mom were super excited.

We told Tim's parents by making them Valentine's cookies with appropriate sayings. They figured it out pretty quickly and were ecstatic.

Here I am at 17 weeks preggo. If this picture is any indication, I am going to be HUGE come 40 weeks. Oh geez. If it helps I HAD just eaten dinner right before this picture so that counts for something right???

I am alive.

Well so the Shred thing didn't exactly work out. I found out on Day 5 of the Shred workout that I was pregnant. So instead of losing weight and toning up, I will be gaining weight and getting fat. Awesome. Seriously though, Tim and I are ecstatic! I am due September 7th (the day before my birthday). I am now 15 weeks. I was about 5 weeks preggo when I found out, and from weeks 6-12 I spent ALOT of time over the toilet in the bathroom, sleeping, not being able to eat anything without puking, and being completely miserable. Week 13 started and I actually started to feel human again, thank God! I am now into my second trimester and feeling really great. I have had lots of energy, and other than a sore lower back, I feel good. SO thankful for that! I am excited to find out what we are having in about 4 more weeks! I have already been shopping for fabrics, and we bought a cool antique dresser to use as a changing table.
We have been Busy lately getting our house ready. We have a ton of house projects to do between now and when the baby comes. So far we have cleared out our guest room and put all our stuff in storage, Tim insulated our attic and put in a new ceiling in our hallway (the other was cracking really bad), and this weekend we are having a yard sale to get rid of all of our junk! We have ALOT to do in a short period of time, but it will be well worth it!
Hopefully I can be better about posting and journaling my pregnancy progress!

I think I can I think I can

Day 4-Level1- I finally think I am getting the hang of this whole Shred workout. Well Level 1 anyways (I watched Level 3 last night and OMG I am not looking forward to that!). Level 1 is still very much of a challenge and I can't do all the reps of every exercise without feeling like my arms and legs are going to fall off, but I am getting a little better and have a little more endurance. I am planning on doing Level 1 for 10 days, Level 2 for 10 days, and Level 3 for 10 days....so that means 6 more days of Level 1...I kind of don't want it to end because I know the REALLY hard stuff is coming. I just have to keep telling myself I think I can I think I can I think I can......

I have a Love/Hate Relationship

Day 3-Level 1-First of all let me start by saying it hurts just to type this. I have never been so sore in my entire life. My arms hurt, my thighs hurt, my calves hurt, my abs hurt, even my neck hurts. It hurts to sit down, it hurts to stand up, it hurts to lay down. It hurts to blink. This is the most intense workout I have ever done, mainly because you are moving/lifting/squatting/crunching for 20 minutes straight with NO stopping. I know 20 minutes doesn't sound like alot but trust me when you are doing 20 minutes of lunges and dumbbell presses, at the same time, 20 minutes feels like an eternity. And on top of all of that Jillian lied. She said on the DVD that by day 3, 4, and 5 it should start to gets easier. UMMMM NOPE. LIE. Day 3 was just as hard as day 1. And all the smiling while working out really pisses me off. Who smiles while they do lunges and dumbbell presses at the same time? Jillian Michaels that's who. I hate her. This whole 30 day Shred thing better work or I am going to hunt Jillian Michaels down and stuff a twinkie down her throat.

The Shred Day 2- DIE Jillian DIE

Day2-Level1- I want Jillian Michaels dead. I hate her. She smiles whiles she works out! Who does that?? And she doesn’t even break a sweat! Meanwhile I am huffing and puffing and I look like I got run over by a truck in the first 4 minutes of the workout! I have never sweat so much in a 20 minute period in my whole life! And she calls me her buddy. I AM NOT YOUR BUDDY! I WANT TO JUMP THROUGH THE TV AND KILL YOU! My arms are so sore it hurt to brush my hair this morning, so much so that I seriously considered just not brushing it and putting it up in a pony tail. But putting it up in a pony tail would hurt just as bad as brushing it so I just went ahead and suffered through the pain of lifting my arm to brush my hair. 28 more days and this is over. I.CANT. WAIT! Although, I will say that Day 2 was slightly easier than Day 1. At the end of Day 1 I was laying on the floor at the end and couldn’t even get up, and at the end of Day 2 I could get up and go into the kitchen to get some water. Slight progress but I will take it.

The Shred

Well its a new year and with that comes new goals and new resolutions....one of my goals being to get fit and lose a few lbs. Who better to help me with that then this woman:

She scares the crap out of me and I know if she were training me in real life I would probably cry everyday, but she does produce results, and that is what I want so here it goes.....

My sweet hubby agreed to workout with me, not that he needs to lose weight, he needs to gain weight and he wants to build muscle so that is what he is going for....our(my) workout of choice:

The 30 day Shred

I am going to blog about my progress so I can look back after 30 days and hopefully see how far I have come.

Day 1- Level 1- My hubby and I watched this workout before we did it, and thought “hmm looks challenging but not too bad”. HAHAHAHA!... then we actually started it. Within the first 4 minutes(of the 20 minute workout) we were both DYING! My husband is actually in pretty good shape so the fact that he was hurting let me know this was going to kill me. January 4th 2010 was going to be my last day on earth. I was going to die before this 20 minutes was over. The workout consists of 2 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength, and 1 minute of abs-repeat three times. It’s sad that I looked forward to the ab part of the workout since I got to lay down! Getting up off the floor though was a bit challenging….to think this was only day 1 of 30 and level 1 of 3! I cannot imagine what level 3 is like, I am so scared to find out! Here’s to hoping I am still alive in February when this whole thing is over!
